It was the second Test between India and Pakistan at New Delhi, 1999. This match was remembered for the great spell bowled by Anil Kumble. Kumble bowled out the whole Pakistani batting line-up, as the visitors went on to level the series.

On the other side, umpiring decisions came into the scanner. Numerous batsman were left shell shocked when they were given out, such as wrong leg-before wicket of Sachin Tendulkar, when he was batting at 6. The ball pitched outside the leg stump. Umpires like Steve Bucknor were caught in poor umpiring decisions in future matches involving India.
