Steve Bucknors’ career as an international umpire started in 1989 and lasted till 2009, during which time he officiated in 128 Tests — the most by an umpire in Test history — and 181 One-Day Internationals. He also officiated in five successive World Cup finals.

Bucknor was known for taking time to give his decision. Sometimes he took so long that he was dubbed “Slow Death Bucknor”. The batsman died a thousand deaths waiting for his verdict. The above Sidhiusm is a humourous view of Bucknor’s prolonged wait before making up his mind.

And it’s also fitting that Sidhu is an Indian, because it’s a widely accepted fact that many of the dubious decisions given by Bucknor went against Indian batsmen.
