Hum Saath Saath Hai [We are together] is an Indian movie based on family drama, directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya and produced by Ajit Kumar Barjatya, Kamal Kumar Barjatya and Rajkumar Barjatya, released in 1999. The film stars Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Mohnish Behl, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Karishma Kapoor.

The story revolves around a family which is headed by Ramkishan (played by Alok Nath), and his wife Mamta (played by Reema Lagoo) as well as his three sons (played by Mohnish, Salman and Saif). As the name suggests, the movie relates to ‘being together’, the hardships a family goes through and still manages to be together in the end and live happily ever after.

The movie gave birth to an idea after Tim Southee’s seven-for today against England in the 2015 World Cup. ‘Saath’ in Hindi means “together”. It also means “seven”. We thought of adding two more “saath” to the title for fictitious movie starring Winston Davis (West Indies), Glenn McGrath (Australia) and Andy Bichel (Australia) – Southee’s predecessors in getting seven-for in World Cup matches.
