West Indies pacer Shannon Gabriel put up a spirited performance by taking 5 wickets and conceding a mere 11 runs to bundle out Pakistan for a paltry 81 in the second innings. The game looked evenly poised for a brief period, but the hosts shunned their poor performance in the first Test and made a strong comeback to defy Pakistan from sealing the series. Kraigg Brathwaite (5/10): Brathwaite’s weakness against swing-bowling invited his downfall in the first essay, managing only 9 runs. However, he made amends and played a resilient 43 to give West Indies a strong start in the second innings.

Kieran Powell (5/10): Powell looked comfortable playing against the Pakistan pace attack in both innings. In the first innings, he displayed brilliant show of character. But in the second, he threw away his wicket at a crucial interval. All in all, he could not convert good starts into big innings.

Shimron Hetmyer (4/10): Hetmyer managed 1 and 22 in the first and second innings respectively. He looked promising, but was dismissed against in swinging-deliveries on both occasions. Shai Hope (7/10): Even though he fell for 5 runs in the first innings, Hope played a brilliant knock of 90 in the second. He exhibited perfect technique to nullify Yasir Shah and other Pakistan bowlers.

Roston Chase (9/10): He was probably the best batsman in the Test. His 131 was only his second Test hundred. That very innings displayed his temperament and his ability to sustain pressure. He gets one point less due to the manner in which he threw his wicket, in the second innings, for 22. Otherwise, he was the best batsman from both teams. Vishaul Singh (6/10): Vishaul showed great mindset in the second innings. He batted well against the Pakistan spin attack, keeping the scoreboard ticking. But he was unable to sustain the pace attack and lost the wicket in a similar fashion in both innings.

Shane Dowrich (5/10): Dowrich could not emulate his performance with the bat from the first Test. All in all, he added only 31 runs. Besides, he was remarkable with the glove work and took a brilliant catch diving to his left to dismiss Asad Shafiq.

Jason Holder (8/10): Holder displayed an all-round performance in this Test. He scored a sturdy 58 in the first innings but failed to keep going in the second. He was good with the ball taking total 6 wickets — 3 each in two innings. In the second, despite Gabriel and Alzarri Joseph conceding runs, he persisted with them and gifted West Indies a well deserved victory.

Devendra Bishoo (6/10): Bishoo has been looked upon as bowling all-rounder. He scored 14 and 20, scalped 3 crucial wickets for his side in the first innings.

Alzarri Joseph (6/10): Joseph was excellent with the new ball. He swung the ball both sides and managed to keep Pakistan batsmen under check even in pressure situations. With his stringent bowling, he kept pressure from one end, helping other bowlers exploit the situation.

Shannon Gabriel (9/10): Gabriel took total 9 wickets in the match — 4 in the first and 5 in the second. The workhorse was rightly judged Man of the Match. Had he not bowled no-balls, he may as well have got 10 on 10.

Now to Pakistan…

Azhar Ali (6/10): Azhar was the highest run-scorer for his side. He scored a resolute 105 off 278 with the help of 9 fours. He fell prey to a short delivery in the second innings.

Ahmed Shehzad (4/10): Shehzad never looked in a flow. He mistimed the ball throughout his first innings, playing 191 deliveries to score 70. The situation was quite similar in the second innings too. He had the golden opportunity to take his side over the winning line, but he got undone against an unplayable delivery.

Babar Azam (1/10): He went on a queen pair in both innings — two-ball duck. He had an ordinary game and never looked convincing to withstand pressure situations. Being generous here for the talent he has, he deserves at least one point.

Younis Khan (4/10): Younis, playing his second-last Test, had a forgettable outing. He managed only 5 runs in the match. He, however, will get some points for the five brilliant catches he took in the slip cordon.

Misbah-ul-Haq (7/10): Misbah was unlucky yet again getting dismissed on 99. In the second innings, he was undone by an absolute jaffa. On the other hand, when Yasir leaked runs in the second innings, he persisted with his go-to bowler.

Asad Shafiq (2/10): A 66-ball 15 and 2-ball duck is all what Shafiq managed. He took a good catch at slip to dismiss Dowrich in the second innings. Apart from this, he had a tough game.

Sarfraz Ahmed (6/10): Sarfraz was good with his wicketkeeping, he failed to impress with the bat. His attacking instincts got better of him in the first innings. By the time he could open up in the second, the game had gone away from Pakistan.

Shadab Khan (4/10): Shadab could not impersonate his limited-overs form in his debut Test getting just 1 wicket. He could not keep the pressure intact. Though he did give the batsmen some nervous moments, he could not contribute more impetus than that.

Mohammad Aamer (5/10): Aamer bagged 4 wickets in the game. He could have had more but was a victim of the cautious approach the West Indian batsman dished out.

Mohammad Abbas (7/10): Playing only his second Test, Abbas picked 4 wickets in the first innings and 2 in the second. He has shown good signs of development and that was evident from his bowling.

Yasir Shah (9/10): Yasir Shah is the second-innings giant for Pakistan and he proved that in Barbados as well. He took total 9 wickets in the game, but unfortunately for Yasir and Pakistan, the 7 wickets came very late in the game.
