While many people were seen reliving their childhood once again as legends came together in New York to play in Cricket All Stars first T20 game, not all seems to have gone down well as Shiv Sena was furious with what they saw.

The writer received inputs from a close source in Sena Bhavan (Shiv Sena’s office) who said Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray was already asleep by the time game began. However, the next someone sent him a clip of the match wherein he saw Wasim Akram bowling to Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar. First, he thought this must be the repeat telecast of India vs Pakistan 2003 World Cup game. However, when his sources confirmed him that the game was just played on Saturday night, he was furious and ordered his party men to prepare an effigy of Barack Obama. Uddhav later himself got the ink out of his pen, and threw it on the face of Barack Obama’s effigy and his party men joined him.

Uddhav later wrote in his Saamna column, “They are playing India vs Pakistan cricket in the disguise of Cricket All Stars! This is bad politics by Barack Obama to conduct such games in America! We will not take this issue lightly. I order my fellow Shiv Sainiks to throw ink on the face of every American you see roaming around near Gateway of India! We won’t let Pakistani players to play with Indians!”

It’s believed that later Tendulkar had to calm Uddhav down after the latter called him. Tendulkar assured that Marathi manoos Ajit Agarkar will definitely play the next match. Hopefully that will stop the sainiks off load their pens. Amen.
