MS Dhoni seems to inspire all others captain and the epidemic of taking jibes at journalist has been quickly spreading. Recently, Dhoni took a dig at Australian journalist after the semi-final loss against West Indies in the ICC World T20 2016 on his retirement question. After Dhoni, now his long time Chennai Super Kings (CSK) teammate Suresh Raina did something similar during a recent press conference in Mumbai when he was asked a question related to Indian team future coach.
After the World T20, Ravi Shastri’s contract has ended as team India’s director and BCCI is currently looking for a new coach. Few coaches and former cricketers have shown interest in taking this job and a journalist asked Raina whom he would prefer, Indian coach or foreign coach? The Gujarat Lions captain came up with a witty reply and said, “Are you comfortable with your own wife or someone else’s?”
Everyone at the conference started laughing over this comment by Raina but further on a serious note, he answered it by saying that appointment of the national coach is BCCI’s job and he would be happy with any coach, which the board selects. However, Raina at the same time made his views clear.
