Former West Indies batsman Andy Ganteaume, who played one Test for the team, passed away peacefully at his home in Santa Margarita on Wednesday at the age of 95, as reported by ESPNCricnfo. Earlier this year on January 22, 2016, which marked his 95th birthday, West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) hailed his landmark by labeling the former player as a “stalwart” and a “patriot”. Beside the only Test he played for West Indies, he also played 50 First-Class matches, in which he scored 2,785 runs at 34.81 with a highest score of 159.
