After a brilliant show in the Caribbean, where Team India won the four-match Test series 2-0, the team left for the United States of America (USA) for a historic two-match T20I series against West Indies. The series is historic because it is for the first time Indian cricket team will play cricket in USA. While 12 of the 14-member squad were there for the Test series and travelled to USA straight from Port of Spain, skipper MS Dhoni and Jasprit Bumrah joined the squad after flying down from India. The team wasted no time after assembling in the states and straight away indulged in some bonding sessions, which included sightseeing, visiting an NBA team’s headquarters and going out together for the dinner. Test skipper Virat Kohli, who will be Dhoni’s deputy in the upcoming T20Is, shared an image from his Instagram account before leaving for the team dinner.

The image, which was captured in the team bus, had an interesting caption to it. Kohli wrote: “Team dinner time. @jaddu61288 and his jokes are my company for the night. Good times with good people.”

It seems Kohli enjoyed his good friend Ravindra Jadeja’s company on the bus. Both these cricketers go back a long way as Jadeja was Kohli’s deputy when India won the Under-19 World Cup in 2008. The two share a great camaraderie and it came as no surprise when Kohli mentioned he enjoys Jadeja and his jokes, who make for a great company. The two matches will be played on August 27 and 28.
