July 26 marks India’s victory over Pakistan in the Kargil war of 1999. The day is observed as Kargil Vijay Diwas in memory of the great victory. Named after Operation Vijay, it commemorates the day when Indian soldiers reclaimed the high outposts that were captured by trespassing Pakistani army and militants.
The day fills every Indian with a sense of patriotism and appreciation for the commendable job the jawans of Indian Army did 17 years back. We as Indians, cannot thank them enough for their selfless service to the nation. But to mark this day, the netizens take to their social media handles and post tweets remembering the day and make the topic trend.
