Jammu and Kashmir’s (J&K) historic win over the 40-time Ranji trophy champions Mumbai on Wednesday was hailed by Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar.

Tendulkar, who himself has represented Mumbai, the most successful cricket side from India,  spent an hour with the J&K team. However, he asked the minnows to not get carried away by the win.

As reported by NDTV, Tendulkar told the players, “You should not get carried away. You should keep the momentum. It’s a great victory and a big achievement.”

J&K stunned Mumbai at the latter’s home ground in Wankhede. Never before have the two sides played each other in the Ranji Trophy’s 80-year history.
