Ace badminton doubles champion from Hyderabad, Jwala Gutta and reliable left arm spinner for Team India, Pragyan Ojha came under one roof for a cause in the newly crowned state of Telangana.

The picture, proudly posted by Ojha on his instagram account, gives us a glimpse of the other side of the cricketer. In the picture, he is seen handing over a cheque to K Kavitha, TRS MP and daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao. Gutta is also seen standing by his side.

The two popular sports stars from the region came together for the cause under the aegis of ‘Telangana Jagruthi’, a registered Non Governmental Organisation which was formed in 2008 with the primary mission of preserving the unique cultural heritage of the region and instilling in the people a sense of pride for the culture.

It is over-whelming to see sports stars uniting as they have the ability to grab attention and hence can make a significant contribution. We hope more sportspersons take cue from their act and come out in support of social causes.
