In fact, Rhodes’ wife Melanie Jeanne gave birth to a baby girl in a hospital in Mumbai’s Santa Cruz on April 24. The Rhodes couple named their child ‘India’.

It’s not easy for Rhodes to leave his wife alone in a foreign country and to ask her to take care of an infant all alone. But, sadly, he has to. The of “India” was shared by her father on his Twitter account, Rhodes jokingly wrote, “India Rhodes #4weeksold sent her father off to join @mipaltan and bring home the cup.”

MI are in the final of the 2015 IPL and have a great opportunity to lift the coveted trophy for the second time. The Mumbai side will clash against the winner of Friday’s second qualifier at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday, May 24, on the very day when India turns a month old. Rhodes has been a part of the Mumbai Indians (MI) unit for a long time. He is the side’s fielding coach and trained them hard to make them one of the most consistent sides in IPL. Over the years, along with the MI side, he tasted an IPL triumph along with two CLT20 wins and once again with his side in the final, all he wants is the title.
