Piers Morgan unites arch-rivals as Pakistani journalist tweets in support of India

Wednesday was a busy day for the Indian Twitter trolls, as English journalist Piers Morgan kept them at work with his tweets trolling India’s Olympic performance. Not just the trolls, but celebs like Chetan Bhagat, Suhel Seth and Virender Sehwag also took on Morgan and gave him befitting replies. Yes, Morgan may have hurt the sentiments of millions of Indians active on social media, but what he also did was something no one else could. Morgan united arch-rivals India and Pakistan with his tweet as Pakistani sports journalist Mazher Arshad, who is renowned on social media space, tweeted in support of India. Reacting to Morgan’s tweet, he wrote:

Arshad’s tweet was well received by Indian Twitter trolls. His reply came after Morgan had called India’s celebration on PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik’s medals as embarrassing. His tweets got befitting reply from Sehwag and other trolls. However, he tried to diffuse the entire episode by the end of the day with his balanced tweets which read:
