Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin inscribed his name in the history if cricket with his ton in the ongoing third Test against West Indies at Gros Islet. He became the first Indian cricketer to have scored two tons and have scalped couple of fifers in the same Test series. Ashwin grabbed the golden opportunity with both the hands and brought up his second century of the series in style with a six.
Ashwin came out to bat when India were delicately placed at 87 for four and played a match-winning innings with Wriddhiman Saha. This is also his fourth Test century and interestingly he has scored all his tons against West Indies. Ashwin smashed his first century of the series in the first Test at Antigua and also picked his first fifer at the same venue in the second innings, he picked seven wickets for 83. Ashwin’s second fifer came in the second Test at Jamaica where he chipped five wickets for 52.
