Sachin Tendulkar presents BMW cars to PV Sindhu, Sakshi Malik, Dipa Karmakar and Pullela Gopichand

Indian legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was an inspiration for the Indian contingents at the recently concluded Rio Olympics 2016.

Indian legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was an inspiration for the Indian contingents at the recently concluded Rio Olympics 2016. He encouraged  the Indian players and was seen cheering them throughout the grand event. On this occasion, Tendulkar presented the iconic BMW cars to Rio Olympics silver medallist shuttler P V Sindhu and bronze medallist Sakshi Malik along with gymnast Dipa Karmakar and badminton coach Pullela Gopichand. The cars were sponsored by Hyderabad District Badminton Association president Chamundeshwarnath to the Indian athletes for the magnificent run in the Olympics. They brought pride and glory to the nation and scripted history with their performance. Though Dipa didn’t manage to clinch a medal but her dedication and contribution was noteworthy. Sakshi also became the first Indian wrestler to have an Olympic medal to her name while Sindhu lost the battle in the final. Tendulkar posted a picture of the ceremony along with the award receivers and took to his Twitter handle to express his glee. He wrote, “In company of champs who proved their mettle @Pvsindhu1 @SakshiMalik @DipaKarmakar & super coach #PullelaGopichand.

As of now, Tendulkar is doing a commendable job after his playing days are over. He enjoys a massive fan following and is certainly attracting enormous attention towards the sport.
