Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is an inspiration for many cricketers, be it Indian or any foreign player. He may have retired but whenever he enters any field, his aura is still very similar to that of his playing days at the stadium. Great batsmen like, Brian Lara and Virender Sehwag are amongst his biggest admirers.

Recently, during the inauguration of a new stadium for Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) at Baramati, which is named after Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, Tendulkar asked youngsters to work hard if they want to succeed in their cricketing career. “I had a dream to play for India and win the World Cup. It was a long journey. You should sweat out as much as the water used by the groundsman to maintain the field,” Tendulkar said to PTI.

Adding further, Tendulkar also hailed the contributions of Sharad Pawar in encouraging infrastructure facilities for the sport and better cricketing facilities since he has taken over the seat of MCA chairman. After the inauguration, a ceremonial Twenty20 match was organised between Maharashtra and Mumbai Teams. Cricketers like, Ajinkya Rahane, Ajit Agarkar  and Wasim Jaffer were the part of that match.
