Spin wizard Shane Warne‘s interesting lists do make a good read. During the second Test between England and Pakistan at Old Trafford, Warne through a Facebook Live video spoke about the best players he bowled to from each country. Here is the country wise list of cricketers Warne enjoyed bowling the most:

England: Usually left-handers are successful against leg-spinners but former England skipper Andrew Strauss had little luck against Warne. The leggie called Strauss a very good player, but recalled having some of the best balls of his career to him. We all remember the ball that bamboozled Strauss at Edgbaston in 2005 and cleaned-up him.

South Africa: No prizes for guessing this really. Warne had made Daryll Cullinan his bunny. Warne says that Cullinan seemed completely lost while playing him and did not have any idea on which way the ball was going. India: Warne candidly admits that India batsmen have smacked him all around the park but named his “very good friend” Rahul Dravid as someone he enjoyed bowling to. Though the spin-king admits that it was tough bowling to Dravid but somehow he managed to get better of the Indian batting legend many a times.

Pakistan: Inzamam-ul-Haq undoubtedly is amongst the modern greats but Warne enjoyed success against him. Warne believes that Inzi could be very lazy at times and the Aussie took an advantage of the same.

New Zealand: Warne admits he loved bowling to Craig McMillan for those “weird stances and silly” stuff that he did on the batting crease.

Sri Lanka: Tillakaratne Dilshan was a middle-order batsman when Warne played against him. Warne mentions that he enjoyed the contests with Dilshan as the Lankan looked to sweep him most of the time. Warne recalls that no matter what the situation, Dilshan kept his smile intact.

West Indies: Without a doubt, Warne reckons Brian Lara as the best left-hander he bowled to. However, among all the West Indian cricketers he says he enjoyed his contests against Shivnariane Chanderpaul the most.

Zimbabwe: Warne named Murray Goodwin, who he termed as a “funny little determined guy.” Goodwin has played a lot of domestic cricket in Australia as well.

Bangladesh: He called Mohammad Ashraful as the best Bangladeshi batsman he bowled to, and he enjoyed bowling the most to Habibul Bashar.
