Tendulkar replies Ganguly in style; asks him to get his off-drives right

Sachin Tendulakar and Sourav Ganguly have been one of game’s best opening partners. Together the two entertained Indian fans in the late 90s and early 2000s. Both are legends in their own right and enjoy cult following from their respective legion of fans. Recently the two of them came together for the Indian Super League (ISL), where both own a franchise.

 

The two legends of Indian cricket will take the field once again when they feature in the ‘All-stars T20’ league, a series of three Twenty20 matches in the United States of America (USA), starting from November 7. Ganguly, who’d be playing in Tendulkar’s team, had told him that he will take the first flight back home to Kolkata if he is not allowed to open the innings. He had said, “I have told Sachin, if I don’t open, I will catch the next flight to Kolkata. So that is a criterion for playing.”

The master, however, came up with a fitting reply, putting the ball back into Dada’s court. He tweeted:

Though the fans would want the duo to open the innings, presence of a host of retired legends in both the teams makes the case a little weak. The series, that is being played with the objective of spreading the game globally, will witness the matches being played at some of the grandest baseball stadiums in USA. The matches are scheduled to be held on November 7, 11 and 14.
