Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli played well in the four-match Test series against West Indies as they won it by 2-0. But India needed a win at Port-of-Spain in the final Test to retain their top spot in Test cricket, which wasn’t to be as rains washed away almost five days of the game. India were red hot favourites to win this Test and were on track but rains just allowed 22 overs to be bowled in the entire Test. India now have 110 points to their name, one less than arch-rivals Pakistan.
Pakistan played well against England in the four-match series and squared it by 2-2 and have now overtaken India at the top spot in the ICC Test rankings. After a win at Lord’s, Pakistan lost the next two games but came back hard in the last to grab the top spot with 111 points in the basket.
