Australia’s 19-year-old debutant Ashton Agar (69 not out) entered the record books as he made the highest score by a No 11 on Test debut against England on Day Two of the first Test at Trent Bridge on Thursday.

Agar has beaten the previous best of Warwick Armstrong (45 not out) against England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in 1902.

A couple of overs before the teams took lunch, Agar also went past the highest score by an Australian No 11 in Test cricket. He surpassed Glenn McGrath‘s 61.
