Indian opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal played a few exclusive shots as the Indian team took on Sri Lanka in the first match of the 3-match T20I series on Saturday. Yashasvi opened the innings with vice-captain Shubhman Gill and scored 40 runs off 21 balls. Shubhman did his fair share of shots but it was Jaiswal who displayed his abilities to hit some formidable shots, specially strategized for the T20 cricket. About the shots, former Indian pacer Ashish Nehra put Jaiswal in shock as he claimed that the if Virat and Rohit were still playing the T20Is, left-hander would only be playing these shots in nets.
“Ajay Jadeja asked you what’s the difference when Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were there (to open in T20Is). According to me, there is just one difference. If Virat and Rohit were still playing this format, then whatever strokes we saw from you today, you would have played those in the nets,” said Ashish Nehra while having a talk with Yashasvi, leaving the opener in shock.
Nehraji never disappoints 😂
