Pakistan lost an early wicket in the form of Ahmed Shehzad in their second ICC World T20 2014 match against Australia at Dhaka on Sunday. Kamran Akmal and skipper Mohammad Hafeez are batting. Pakistan are 25 for one in four overs.
Aussies skipper George Bailey had won the toss and elected to bowl. Mitchell Starc started the proceedings for Australia and Shehzad opened his and Pakistan’s account with a cut shot between cover and backward point for four on the first ball. Starc kept a fuler length and on the third ball of the over almost had Kamran Akmal caught behind. The decision was referred to the third umpire and Akmal survived.
However, in the second over, Doug Bollinger struck the first wicket when Shehzad went for a pull shot and couldn’t get the timing right, the ball ballooned in the air and the bowler took a regulation catch.
No 3 batsman Hafeez then took some chances against Bollinger in his next over hitting two boundaries on the leg-side.
