BANGLADESH have officially announced their squad for the upcoming edition of the Asia Cup 2023. Veteran all-rounder Shakib al Hasan has officially replaced Tamim Iqbal as the new ODI skipper and will be the man in command for the upcoming tournament

The 2023 edition of Asia Cup, which is also the 16th edition of the tournament, will feature two groups, with two teams from each group qualifying for the Super Four stage. The top two teams from the Super Four stage will then face off in the final.

The Asia Cup 2023 is all set to kick off from August 30. Pakistan cricket team will start their campaign in Multan against Nepal in the tournament opener before taking on India in the much-anticipated clash on September 2 in Pallekele.

Shakib Al Hasan To Lead Bangladesh In Asia Cup 2023

Shakib Al Hasan has made a return as Bangladesh’s new ODI skipper. Bangladesh will start their Asia Cup 2023 campaign with a clash against defending champions Sri Lanka at Pallekele Stadium, on 31st August.

The tournament will be extremely crucial for all teams apart from Nepal, to prepare for the upcoming edition of ODI World Cup 2023. Teams would like to use the Asia Cup to sort out perfect combinations ahead of the mega-tournament that kicks off on October 5 in India.
