Cricket fraternity once again had a pretty interesting last week, which ended with a few disappointments. India and West Indies continued to stay off the Queens Park Oval in Trinidad because of poor ground conditions and management, and the story was pretty much the same for South Africa and New Zealand at Kingsmead, Durban. Pakistan and Ireland were lucky enough to have completed their first ODI, as the second and final was washed out. Off the field, the cricket fraternity remained intrigued with variety of topics, with Virender Sehwag continuing to amaze with his wit, Rio Olympics continued to rule the roost and of course, there were selfies.
No, we are not getting into how cricketers celebrated India’s 70th Independence Day, but the fact that the day began with a Sehwag special was heartening:
Thank u #DipaKarmakar fr getting us united at midnight cheering fr Gymnastics,in a country with no infrastructure for this sport.Super Proud

And Sehwag was back to what he does the best apart from batting. He entertains us!

India captain Virat Kohli could not hide his disappointment on Sunday when the fourth day’s play against West Indies in the final Test. Ravindra Jadeja, for some reason, looked stoic.
When you are waiting at the hotel & getting bored. Rains are annoying when a match is going on #TestOfPatience pic.twitter.com/vkJc4nCO4V

But Kohli had the luck to meet Sir Garry Sobers and a few more West Indies legends, while rains kept players off the field
Absolutely in awe of this great man, Sir Garfield Sobers. Feel blessed to have had a conversation with him #Grateful pic.twitter.com/6x6iPwQrwl

Rohit Sharma had to wait for his turn to feature in the Indian playing XI in West Indies. But the right-handed batsman could not stay out of the pun which Harbhajan Singh poked at the Caribbean side.

But Rohit preferred to have some more fun in the Caribbean when play was not possible in the fourth Test.
