Doug Bollinger, Australian fast bowler who also plays for New South Wales is concentrating to perform in Sheffield Shield rather than focusing on a Test recall. NSW Blues’ will lock horns with Queensland in a Sheffield Shield match starting on Sunday. Nathan Coulter-Nile was preferred over Bollinger for the first Test against West Indies as replacement for Mitchell Starc who is nursing an ankle injury. Rod Marsh, Australia’s chief national selector has no clear favourites amongst bowlers who can bowl at speeds in excess of 140 kmph. The first Test between Australia and West Indies will be played on December 10, 2015 at Bellerive Oval, Hobart. READ: Darren Lehmann backs Nathan Coulter-Nile’s inclusion in Test squad vs West Indies
Bollinger was quoted by Cricket Australia’s official website speaking to Sky Sports Radio, “Yeah, but you can’t get caught up in it [after missing the selections]. If you don’t get picked, you don’t get picked. I have been in that situation before where you think ‘do I need to change something in myself or my game?’ but you need to keep banging on… Nathan is a class all-rounder.” CLT20 2014 Semi-final 1: Hurricanes confident before KKR match, says Doug Bollinger
