“He has told me…”: Ravi Bishnoi reveals Gautam Gambhir’s advice for Sri Lanka series

The Indian spinner who played a key role in India's victory against Sri Lanka in the second T20I, spoke in the post-match press conference and praised the team and head coach Gambhir

The Indian team sealed the 3-match T20I series against Sri Lanka by winning the first 2 matches. Spinner, Ravi Bishnoi played a key role in India’s victory in the second match as he took 3 big wickets and only gave away 26 runs in his quota of 4 overs. He was also awarded with the player of the match award for his brilliant bowling spell.

Speaking in the post-match press conference, Bishnoi had nothing but praise for the team and for the new head coach Gautam Gambhir who also worked with him at IPL franchise, Lucknow Super Giants.

“I am sharing a great bond with Gautam Gambhir as he has been with LSG for two years. He has not asked me to change anything as such. He has told me to do what I am doing currently. His advice was useful to me earlier as well, and now too,” Bishnoi said in the press conference.

Bishnoi revealed that Suryakumar Yadav and vice-captain Shubman Gill have both backed him quite a bit.

“Suryakumar is doing great captaincy. I have played under him during the Australia series as well. He has been good. Shubman Gill’s captaincy was also great. In Zimbabwe, he also did great as a captain. They always back me and as a bowler you cannot ask for anything more than this when the captain backs you,” Bishnoi said.
