Thiruvananthapuram: Sri Lankan players Ashen Bandara and Jeffrey Vandersay collided with each other on the fifth ball of the 43rd over while saving a boundary from Virat Kohli. Both of them fell down after the collision and were stretched out of the ground later.

In the third and final ODI of the series, Team India of Rohit Sharma faces Sri Lanka of Dasun Shanka at the Greenfield Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. The Indian captain chose to bat first after winning the toss.

Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shuman Gill joined a remarkable opening stand of 95 runs. However, it came to an end when Chamika Karunaratne struck and took Rohit Sharna’s big wicket. He departed after scoring 42 runs.

Shubman Gill smashed his second ODI ton before his departure and demonstrated his astonishing form in the 50-over format. He departed after scoring 116 runs from just 97 deliveries. Sri Lanka was just recovering from Gill’s knock when Kohli smashed his 46th ODI ton and the second one from this series.
