England women cricket team have added left-arm spinner Alex Hartley to their T20I squad for the India series.
Hartley replaces fellow spinner Sophie Ecclestone who was ruled out due to a broken hand. The 19-year-old picked up the injury during a training session ahead of 2nd ODI which will see her missing the following tour of Sri Lanka as well during which England are scheduled to play three ODIs and as many T20Is.
The 25-year-old Hartley has played in three T20Is so far – the last of which was also against India back in March 2018 in Mumbai.
She played in all three ODIs against India, ending the series wicketless as India claimed a 2-1 win.
The three-match T20I series gets underway from March 4 in Guwahati.
As per a report in BBC, all the three fixtures were initially scheduled to start at 10:00 am (IST) but following concerns raised by both teams regarding morning mist affecting the play, the contests will start an hour later now.
