Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have reached a score of 136 runs for the loss of four wickets against the home team Pune Warriors India (PWI) in the 70th Indian Premier League (IPL) 2012 match at the Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium in Pune.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have reached a score of 136 runs for the loss of four wickets against the home team Pune Warriors India (PWI) in the 70^th Indian Premier League (IPL) 2012 match at the Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium in Pune.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Gautam Gambhir made a slow start. He was dismissed in the fifth over by Wayne Parnell for 10 runs.

All-rounder Jacques Kallis was the next batsman to be dismissed as he was bowled by Michael Clarke, who returned to the team after his wedding in Australia, for 13 runs.

Brendon McCullum and all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan then consolidated the innings with a partnership in the middle overs. Both added 67 runs for the third wicket before McCullum was dismissed in the 17^th over by Parnell who claimed his second wicket.

Shakib who departed in death overs while attempting to accelerate was the highest scorer with 42 runs.
