IPL 2016: Green Park set to replace manual scoreboards with LED

With the preparations on full swing, this will also mark the end of the famous manual scoreboards of the well-known stadium during the two IPL matches scheduled to be played on May 19 and 21. Both the encounters will start at 8pm and hence there will not be any utility for manual boards. For this purpose, the IPL body has decided to equip Green Park with two huge LED scoreboards. The preparations for the forthcoming IPL matches are in full swing with some technical and advance teams and team of advertisers scheduled to arrive soon. ALSO READ: IPL 9: Kanpur may get only one IPL 2016 match, between Gujarat Lions and Kolkata Knight Riders Kanpur, the adopted home ground of Gujarat Lions, will host Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians in the business end of the group stage of IPL 9. Gujarat Lions have given contract to Kolkata based firm for the advertisements which, in turn, has contacted a local company to do the job. At present, Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Lions are tied with 12 points each  with the former being on top due to a better net run rate. Both teams are almost on the verge of qualifying for the playoffs whereas Mumbai Indians need to pull up their game to remain in contention for the final four. They are currently on the fourth position with 10 points.
