After a near-fatal accident in 2022, Rishabh Pant’s rehabilitation journey has showed a lot of promise, suggesting a bright future for his possible involvement in the forthcoming Indian Premier League season. According to the most recent information, Pant is showing encouraging indications of recovery by participating fully in a warm-up game in Alur, which is close to Bengaluru. For Pant, it is his first game in a very long time.
According to sources close to both his IPL franchise and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the 26-year-old cricketer is expected to take the helm of the Delhi Capitals in the 2024 IPL. Pant’s mobility appears to be unaffected, as sources attest to his capacity to run and bat with the same freedom and agility as prior to the injury that kept him out of action for nearly 15 months in December 2022. Pant is currently receiving therapy at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. The BCCI arranged for Pant to receive treatment in London last month.
The dates of the Indian Premier League (IPL) are yet to be confirmed; it is expected that they will be decided upon when the Election Commission of India releases its list of general election dates. The IPL schedule will be modified in accordance with the dates of the state elections. The BCCI is thinking of starting the IPL on March 22 or 23. The competition is scheduled to end on a Sunday, May 26.
