The Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fortified their bowling department on Monday for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). During the IPL 2017 auction, RCB surprised many as they went for the England fast bowler Tymal Mills, who had recently played in their T20I series in India and had troubled several Indian batsman. RCB spent a whopping INR 12 crores for the left-handed fast bowler whom England consider as a 20-over specialist. RCB also added Indian all-rounder Pawan Negi, who was taken for INR 1 crore, and left-handed fast bowler Aniket Choudhary. IPL 2017 AUCTION LIVE: Complete updates from IPL 10 auction

Choudhary had recently played in the warm-up match between India A and Bangladesh at Hyderabad, and had picked 4 wickets. RCB were in news recently as they had parted ways with their lead bowler Mitchell Starc, who has taken time off the rigorous IPL to be with his family and preserve fitness for the national side. Keeping this in mind, RCB now have an excellent fast bowler in Mills, who has an economy of 7.25 after 4 T20Is. Mills had made his T20I debut for England against Sri Lanka in 2016, and played the other 3 matches of his career in India in early 2017. Going into the post lunch session of the ongoing IPL 10 auction, RCB have INR 2,82,50,000 left in their bank. RCB have 22 players so far in their squad, with the overall limit being 27 players, including 9 overseas.
