South African international, Johan Botha, is going to switch from Adelaide Strikers to Sydney Sixers for the 2015 season of the Big Bash League (BBL). He has reportedly signed on with the Sixers on a three year deal. Botha has vast experience in T20 leagues across the world and will be a valuable addition to the Sixers side.

Dominic Remond, the general manager of the Sydney Sixers was excited about the new signing and heaped praised on Botha’s all round skills. “Johan will be a fantastic addition to our already strong squad, he is a great competitor with an abundance of international experience and one of the most miserly bowlers in the BBL. His lower order hitting will add another dimension to our batting and help with our ambitions to go one step better in BBL05,” Remond was quoted as saying by sydneysixers.com.au.

Apart from the Adelaide Strikers, Botha has played in other T20 sides like Rajasthan Royals and is currently playing with the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015. In the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), he has signed up with the Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel for the 2015 season.
