India’s Formula 1 driver Narain Karthikeyan coud not hide his joy after meeting cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar at the inaugural Indian Grand Prix on Sunday.

 

Karthikeyan was quoted in Times of India as saying,”It was a very nice moment when we met. Sachin had come to wish me and to cheer for me, and that felt really nice.I was very happy.”

 

Karthikeyan finished the race at 17th position in the race and he seemed happy with his performance on home circuit. He said,”I was ahead of my teammate and another driver.”

Tendulkar, who is passionate about fast cars, was invited by Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone himself to grace the Indian Grand Prix at Greater Noida on October 30. Later, the organisers of the Indian Grand Prix had asked the batting legend to wave the chequered flag at the end of the inaugural Indian Grand Prix this weekend.
