Lauren Winfield, Tammy Beaumont, Alex Hartley shine as England Women complete 3-0 clean sweep against Pakistan Women
England Women beat Pakistan Women by 57 runs in the third and final T20I at Chelmsford to clinch the 3-match series 3-0 in their favour.

After successfully clinching the Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Pakistan Women, England Women were looking to complete a series whitewash at Chelmsford in the third and final T20I between both the teams.England saw Lauren Winfield, Tammy Beaumont and debutant Alex Hartley rose to the occasion and help England gain a memorable clean sweep. Winning the toss England skipper Heather Knight wasted no time in electing to bat first, a decision which was proven right by Winfield and Beaumont who struck a 108 run opening stand which helped England put-up a mammoth score of 170 for 5 on the board. When it came to the bowling part Hartley’s double strike was clinical to the win as it caused a batting collapse which Pakistan could not over come chasing 171 runs. To start the innings Winfield and Beaumont were aggressive from the get go which was evident as the former 10 runs from the first over itself. After that there was not stopping Winfield was outscoring her partner by miles. Winfield brought up her fifty with a calm single which was a surprise seeing the form she was in, none the less her fifty came in 34 balls. She was soon to depart after adding just 13 more runs as Nida Dar picked up her first wicket. Winfield made a 40-ball 63. Beaumont then took over the proceeding as notched up her individual fifty coming in 41 balls. She also did not stay longer soon after as Bismah Maroof trapped her plum in front for 55. In reply Pakistan Women were off to a poor start losing the in-form batsmen Nahida Khan for just 10 runs off 13 balls, who was picked up by Tash Farrant. Opener Javeria Khan did manage to hold fort somehow picked up a seemingly poor run chase by hitting a 18-ball 23 before getting run-out. It was then the Hartley show who picked up two wickets in two overs to start Pakistan’s downfall in the match. Iran Javed became Hartley’s first ever T20I wicket making only 5 runs. Bismah Maroof become Hartley’s second wicket as she tired to play the left-hander on the off side, only see her stumps rattled for a well struck 41-ball 35.
After the fall of Maroof, it was all about who is out first as Nida Dar who bowled well put up a small show for all making 13-ball 18 before she was caught and bowled by Jenny Gunn. Other wickets to fall were Muneeba Ali and Aiman Anwer who were picked up by Danielle Hazell and Knight respectively to end Pakistan’s innings at 113 for 7 in their allowed quota of 20 overs.
