India Red currently rule the roost in the final, courtesy Prithvi Shaw, Dinesh Karthik and Washington Sundar’s blistering starts. Shaw cashed in on a good show on day one and secured himself his maiden Duleep Trophy 100, while Sundar a rising star in domestic circuit missed is hundred by 12 runs. India Blue are still 302 runs away with all 5 wickets in hand.

Sundar along with Vijay Gohil ran past the Blue ‘s batting line-up picking all five wickets between them. It was only opener Abhimanyu Easwaran (87 not out) who played a fighting innings to stay unbeaten throughout the day. He was at times supported by Jaydev Unadkat (27*) and Manoj Tiwary (25).

India Red started with day with Sundar along with the likes of Ishank Jaggi and Gohil adding 166 runs down the other side. Jaggi contributed 30 runs while Gohil made 29.

It was the spin duo of Bhargav Bhatt and Akshay Wakhare that shined with the ball for India Blue sharing seven wickets between them.
