England ended Day Three at 116 for the loss of one wicket, taking an overall lead of 296 runs at stumps in the second Test match at Leeds. Alastair Cook is unbeaten on 88 along with Jonathan Trott (11).
Earlier, England took a huge lead of 180 runs as New Zealand were bowled out for 174 in their first innings. Cook had an option to invite New Zealand to follow-on as the first day of the Test was abandoned which meant the follow-on margin was revised to 150. He instead chose to set an imposing target.
Going into the fourth day, the hosts will look to build on the lead and set an imposing target for New Zealand.
