Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Match 16 of the 2016 ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup between the hosts Bangladesh U-19 and Scotland U-19 at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar on Sunday. We will be bringing you all the live updates of Match between Bangladesh U19 vs Scotland U-19 here. The tournament will be played between 16 teams and a total of 48 matches will be played throughout the tournament. Both the teams will be eyeing to take a lead in the table by conquering this game. The tournament is kind of a breeding ground for the youngsters which will further provide them an opportunity to express them in the senior team. Match Report: Bangladesh Under 19 team achieves a resounding win over Scotland Under 19 as Saleh Ahmed Shawon, Ariful Islam star.

What a spell it has been from Mohammad Saifuddin who has cleaned up the final three wickets of the Scotland’s innings. Saifuddin bowled Harris Carnegie and Mitchel Rao while getting the lone ranger Azeem Dar caught cover fielder.

Saifuddin bowls a slower one in an bid to save Carnegie scoring big hits. Scotland are now looking in the deep trouble as they are eight wickets down and still require more than 100 runs to win.

Wicket-keeper Zakir takes a lovely driving catch towards his left. Scotland are now in deep waters already 6 down for 119 with more 138 runs to get.

McCreath gets a full ball and misses it completely with the ball hitting him plum at front. Bangladesh spinner have made it diffucult for the Scotland batsmen to get off any run . Scotland are still 144 behind Bangladesh’s total of 256.

Jack Waller in an attempt to hit a six, only manages to get it into the hands of fielder at mid-wicket. Scotland are now looking in a bit of trouble here losing four wickets already chasing 257 runs.

Scotland who were 38 for loss at 10th over gave away 3 wickets in just a span of  few overs. Saeed Sarkar and Ariful Islam have tied down the batsmen as Bangladesh look to pick up more wickets.

Johnston stayed in the middle for 52 balls. After having a steady start Scotland have faltered their way through after the start of 11th over. Bangladesh U19 have brought in their slow spinners into the attack to catch a grip on the match. Scotland are still 201 runs behind.

What an eventful over this has been for Scotland, who looked good before the start now have lost two wickets. Owasis Shah did not even face a single ball as Nazmul Hossain Shanto hits the stumps from point. Mehedi Hasan after doing wonders with the bat now does the same with the bat. Hasan picks up the first wicket of Neil Flack. Flack who was looking good making 28 runs with 2 boundaries.

Live cricket score: Scotland 38/0 | Overs 10| | BATTING: Neil Flack 21(28), Rory Johnston 15(32): Neil Flack and Rory Johnston have managed to put up 38* crucial runs in the first 10 overs as they chase Bangladesh U19 total of 256 runs. Flack and Johnston early looked only to defend have now started to open their arms and hit a few boundaries at will. Most importantly for Scotland is that they haven’t lost any wicket which make it much easier for other batsmen to score off.

Flack so far has hit two boundaries in his innings of 14*. Mohammad Saifuddin and Abdul Halim have bowled excellent line so far not giving an inch to the batsmen.

Abdul Halim bowled a brilliant first over giving away on a single run. Bangladesh innings was led by Nazmul Hossain Shanto, who scored a brilliant innings of 113 runs remaining not-out. He was further supported by Mehedi Hasan and Saif Hassan making 51 and 49 respectively.

Shanto in the end remained not out at 113.  Saeed Sarkar on-slaught in the penultimate over did manage to get Bangladesh U19 team get past 240 runs .Scotland did manage to slow down the scoring rate of Bangladesh by picking up wickets in consecutive overs. Ryan Brown got the wicket of Mohammad Saifuddin, who was trying to hit over cover manages to give a catch on long off. Nazmul Hossain Shanto with a boundary brings up his hundred in just 112. His hundred included 8 four’s. He was well supported by Mehedi Hasan who got out making a quick fire 51. His 51 came in just 49 balls, put on a 100 run stand for the fourth wicket.

Live cricket score: Bangladesh 203/3 | Overs 45.1 | | BATTING:  Nazmul Hossain Shanto 92(105), Mehedi Hasan 40(39): Two Hundred up for Bangladesh Under-19 as Mehendi Hasan nears is fifty. Hasan has looked in fabulous form making 40 runs in just 39 balls. Hasan and Nazmul Hossain Shanto have also brought up their 88* run stand. Shanto are nearing his hundred.

Live cricket score: Bangladesh 178/3 | Overs 42 | | BATTING:  Nazmul Hossain Shanto 80(97), Mehedi Hasan 27(29): Mehedi Hasan has looked good in his mini innings of 27 runs so far. Nazmul Hossain Shanto has so what picked up his scoring rate nearing a hundred off as many balls. With the final 8 overs to go it will be important for Bangladesh to pick up the run-rate if they have to get anywhere near 260-ish.

Gets bowled for in an attempt flick down the leg-side as Mitchell Rao gets a breakthrough for Scotland. Earlier in the over Nazmul Hossain Shanto had brought up his fifty in 71 balls.Hassan and Shanto had brought up their 100 runs stand as well. Mehedi Hasan comes out to support Shanto.

Saif Hassan and Nazmul Hossain Shanto have managed to get their team past 100 run mark, and will look to get them towards 200 without any loss of wicket further. Scotland bowlers have toiled hard after early success now look a bit tired and worn out in the field.  Hassan and Shanto have till now made 84  run stand.

Bangladesh after having losing two wickets have now consolidated well enough. Mohammad Ghaffar has looked good up until now picking up two wickets.

Hassan and Shanto have put up a 26* run stand for third wicket. Mohammad Ghaffar has been the star bowler for Scotland picking up 2 wickets for 15 runs in four overs.

Live cricket score: Bangladesh 17/2 | Overs 7.6 | | BATTING: Saif Hassan 3(33), Nazmul Hossain Shanto 0(0): OUT!! Second wicket goes for Bangladesh as Joyraz Sheik  gives a simple catch at point. Sheik made 13 run in 17 balls with two boundary. Earlier in the day  Scotland won the toss and decided to field first . Pinak Ghosh who was run out in the last match, could not score a single run in this match getting lbw to Mohammad Ghaffar. Bangladesh are coming in from a historic win against South Africa in the first match.

Bangladesh U-19 are high on confidence after winning the warm-up games followed by their enthralling victory in the first game against South Africa. Bangladesh have some match winning players who can turn the course of the match. Players like Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Pinak Ghosh, Mehedi Hasan, Abdul Halim, Mohammad Saifuddin, Hasan and Joyraz Sheik show immense potential.

Gordon Drummond and Cedric English are coaching the Scotland side whereas Neil Flack will captain the side. The young talented bunch of players possesses immense potential and is well capable to play some competitive cricket. After losing the first encounter against Namibia, Scotland will now hope for revival of fortunes and create another upset against the hosts.
