Rajasthan Royals scored 191 for four in their allotted 20 overs in IPL 2012 match against Kings XI Punjab in Jaipur on Friday.

Rahane scored 98 off 66 balls while Rahul Dravid gave an able company during his knock of 28 off 24 balls.

Rajasthan, put into bat, got off to a flyer with Rahane smashing two consecutive boundaries off James Faulkner in the second over and then hammering Praveen Kumar to four hits to the fence in the very next over.

Rajasthan reached fifty in the sixth over as the openers continued to smash the KXIP bowlers to all parts of the park.

Just when the Jaipur based team looked set for a big score, Harmeet Singh had Dravid caught by Faulkner.

Piyush Chawla got one more breakthrough for the visitors dismissing Ashok Meneria for a naught.

Rahane then joined forces with Brad Hodge as the duo added 75 runs for the third wicket before Faulkner had the latter back in the dressing room.

Rahane fell two short of a well deserved century when Faulkner had him castled in the dying minutes of their innings.

West Indian Kevon Cooper than provide the final flurry as the host inched close to 200.

Brief Scores: RR 190 for 4 in 20 overs (Ajinkya Rahane 98, Rahul Dravid 28, Brad Hodge 21; James Faulkner 2 for 41) vs KXIP
