This clash between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe holds a lot of impetus with respect to the series as a victory here for Tharanga lead side will see them climbing the top of the ladder and on the similar lines a victory here for Zimbabwe will see them climbing to the second spot in the rankings. But for the hosts to pull off same magic as they did against West Indies, they will have to be on their mark since the starting of the game, as miracles don’t happen every day.

It is very obvious that the hosts will be beaming with confidence but what will be very much important for them is that they imply their confidence in the right manner and make sure that they don’t lose the positive momentum that they have on their side. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, will be hoping to get back to winning ways after the defeat of 62 runs against West Indies which came completely against the run of play. On paper, Sri Lanka definitely looks the stronger side due to the players that have in their side, but with the game and the determination that the hosts had on display against the Caribbean side, they certainly have shown that they have what it takes to make such upsets in the international cricket.
