India vs New Zealand Score And Latest Match Updates:  The third and final ODI between New Zealand and India has been called off due to rain on Wednesday in Christchurch helping the hosts to clinch the series 1-0.

New Zealand have defeated India in the first ODI before the second game was also called off due to rain. In reply to India’s 219, New Zealand were 104/1 in 18 overs when the rain gods opened.

Finn Allen was the only Kiwi wicket to fall for 57, off the bowling of Umran Malik. Earlier, in overcast considtions on wednesday, New Zealand sent India to bat first after winning the toss.

Indian batters showed lack of application as Adam Milne led New Zealand’s fine bowling show to bundle out the visitors for a paltry 219.

Battling to save the series, India found themselves in a spot of bother, losing half of the side in 25.3 overs. Washington Sundar (51 off 64 balls; 5x4s, 1×6) then struck a gritty maiden ODI half-century to take India past the 200-run mark.

The spin bowling all-rounder anchored the show after Shreyas Iyer (49) failed to convert his start. He became the last wicket to fall as India folded in 47.3 overs.

Making a comeback after sitting out of the rain-abandoned second ODI, Milne (3/57) rattled the Indian top-order, dismissing skipper Shubman Gill (13) and Shikhar Dhawan (28).

He then grabbed the prized scalp of Suryakumar Yadav (6) after changing the end to expose India’s sloppy batting in the middle overs. The match got off after a 10-minute delay due to a drizzle but no overs were lost.
