There was no goal in the first half but Fernandes scored the first goal of the match in the 54th minute. The goal was earlier given to Ronaldo but later it was put in front of Bruno’s name. Then Portugal got a penalty in the extra time and Bruno Fernandes scored again to provide Portugal a winning lead of 2-0. He also became the first Portugal playercto win player with two goals and two assists in a single World Cup since 1966 after Jose Augusto and Jose Torres.
