Living legend Adam Gilchrist has been appointed as the captain of Sagittarius Strikers in Dubai’s Masters Champions League (MCL). The former Australian batsman is known for his explosive performances and memories of his records are still remembered in the history of cricket. Popularly known as Gilly, is still a favorite of many cricketers and is fondly remembered by his international fans. Considering he has played in all kinds of pitches, he will be the perfect brand ambassador for the game. He has played for Indian Premier League (IPL) as well as captained for Deccan Chargers, where his team won the IPL in 2009. He was juggling between teams until 2012 where he moved to Kings XI Punjab at a later stage, which was his last season. Further expanding its bouquet of international sporting events, Sony SIX, India’s premier sports entertainment channel, will telecast all the 18 matches of the inaugural edition of the tournament live and exclusive from Dubai and Sharjah to across the Indian sub-continent. The MCL has also secured, MS Dhoni, the current captain of the Indian national cricket team as the brand ambassador.
