Michael Clarke’s comments on John Buchanan incredibly harsh: Shane Watson

Shane Watson has termed Michael Clarke’s comments on former Australian coach John Buchanan and former cricketers— Matthew Hayden and Andrew Symonds as “incredibly harsh”.  Watson was quoted by ABC News Online saying, “I sit back and see what John Buchanan did and how he was able to keep those strong very personalities and strong egos that were in and around the team – and the majority of them were – and kept them moving in the same direction.”  Meanwhile, former leg-spinner Stuart MacGill said, “I haven’t met Michael Clarke’s dog, but I have met John Buchanan. I don’t think he had too many skills that made him stand out among coaches around the world. I can’t even say he was a great administrator. I think that John Buchanan was very lucky to be involved in a cricket team that had probably three of the greatest of all time, you know; McGrath, Warne and in the captaincy role there’s Steve Waugh. Michael Clarke, had blasted out on former Australian coach John Buchanan saying that even his dog Jerry could have taken Australia to world domination. Clarke retired from international cricket at the end of the Ashes 2015, the third failed attempt as a cricketer and second as Australia’s captain to win the urn in England. Australia were trumped 2-3 by England, especially when they were expected to win in England and end misery for not having won a series in Old Blighty since 2001.
