Retired Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar wished Mitchell Johnson good luck after the latter announced his intention to retire from international cricket on Tuesday. “I feel now is the best time to say goodbye. It’s been an incredible ride. But the ride has to come to an end at some point and to do so here at the WACA is very special,” the pacer was quoted as saying ahead of the day’s play, having hinted at the same a couple of days earlier to the main announcement. Johnson is the latest Australian cricketer to bid goodbye to the sport following the likes of Michael Clarke, Chris Rogers, Brad Haddin, Ryan Harris and Shane Watson (Tests), all of whom quit around the Ashes 2015.
