India woke up to a shock on Sunday as the news feeds read that megastar Sridevi had passed away at only 54. Messages of grief poured in from Pakistan, Afghanistan and other nations in south Asia. The cricket fraternity too had reacted to the untimely demise of the superstar.
Four days after her death, she was given a state funeral in Mumbai. With the nation engulfed in emotions, Mithali Raj shared an emotional message on Twitter. Calling it a tragic loss, the Indian Women captain tweeted “It’s now 4 days since we heard about this absolutely tragic loss. Time they say, heals all wounds. I think time just makes you accustomed to how things are & will be. Adieu #Sridevi – it’s been emotional. Strength to the girls, family, @BoneyKapoor ji & everyone who is grieving.”
