Mohammed Siraj wows Indian legends with brilliant catch against USA

Indian pacer's stunning catch left the Indian legends awestruck in the commentary box

New York: The Indian bowlers yet again put up a fantastic performance as they restricted USA to 110/8 in 20 overs at the Nassau County International stadium in New York.

Arshdeep Singh was the best Indian bowler on the field by some margin as he finished with figures of 4/9 in his 4 overs. Alongside the bowlers, the fielders also had a big contribution in the match.

Mohammed Siraj was one such fielder who gave his all on the field and also caught a blinding catch to help India stamp authority over their opponents. It was the fourth ball of the 15th over when Nitish Kumar smashed the ball over deep square leg where Siraj timed his jump well to grab a sensational catch.

Indian legends Yuvraj Singh and Ravi Shastri who were present in the commentary box to witness the catch, were left awestruck by the superb effort of the Indian pacer close to the boundary line.

“What a catch, What a catch that is! Mohammed Siraj has pulled off a blinder. This is magnificent,” said Shastri. Yuvraj hailed Siraj and said that, “I think that was a decent shot but big boundaries, and Siraj took a blinder right there.”

Later, Siraj was also presented with the ‘best fielder’ medal for his fabulous catch by Yuvraj himself.
