Moises Henriques has pulled out of Sydney’s Sixers squad from the ongoing Big Bash 2017-17 tournament. Henriques has taken a personal leave and will remain absent from the squad until further notice.

He played in all the 10 BBL games for Sixers last season. He also played the first-two games for Sixes in BBL 2017-18 missing their last game against Adelaide Strikers. Sixers in their press-release said,” The Sydney Sixers advise that Moises Henriques will be taking some personal leave from the BBL. He will return when he feels ready to continue in the tournament. Out of respect for Moises’ privacy the Club will not make any further comment.”

So far, Henriques has played 26 matches for Australia – Tests, ODIs and T20Is included. Henriques has been replaced by Jordan Silk. Silk himself took a break from cricket midway from the 2015 domestic one-day season playing for Tasmania.
