MS Dhoni openly Speaks up About him Playing in The IPL 2025 for CSK

MS Dhoni has opened up and clearly stated that he would wait to see how the rules are, before deciding on his future in IPL with Chennai Super Kings.

With roles of regulations and retention schemes for IPL 2025 players currently being improved and strengthened, MS Dhoni has opened up and stated that he will wait and see how the rules are, before deciding on his future in IPL with CSK.

“There is a lot of time for it. We have to see what decision they take on player retention etc. Right now, the ball is not in our court. So, once the rules and regulations get formalised, I will take a call, but needs to be in the best interest of the team,” said Dhoni.

Ever since Ruturaj Gaikwad was made captain for IPL 2024, questions on Dhoni’s future have always been a topic of discussion. As of now, all 10 IPL teams are not on the same page in terms of auction rules, ranging from player retention to the Impact player rule.

After having a meeting with all franchise owners in Mumbai, BCCI secretary Jay Shah stated that there was creative debate within the IPL team owners on a variety of subjects. Also, the recommendations from this meeting will be taken to IPL Governing Council for further deliberation and evaluation.
