Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with his Australian counterpart Tony Abbott and cricketing greats like Sunil Gavaskar, Allan Border posed with ICC Cricket World cup trophy at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Tuesday. Modi is currently in Australia and recently said that cricket is the common bond between India and Australia. Before visiting MCG, Modi himself admitted that visiting this historical ground, would be a delight for him.

In September, Abbott was in India and was in a delegation with Adam Gilchrist and Brett Lee. He also admitted, Cricket is one binding factor. Sachin Tendulkar was honoured by the Order of Australia by the Australian government and the Aussie Prime minister met the cricketing legend recently.
